LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY) – The Mountain Transit Authority’s new service is making its way into Greenbrier County.
The MTA provides transportation services to those in a treatment plan for addiction to opioids. The transportation is currently taking place within all of the MTA’s service areas.
“How it’s getting into Greenbrier County is, basically, we started knocking on doors prior to the transportation service starting up in around February,” said MTA General Manager Tim Thomas. “We started calling individual treatment centers, like Seneca, those places, to set up appointments and tell them about the program.”
Services are scheduled as needed Monday-Friday and in emergency situations on the weekends.
