Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – At Tuesday’s town hall meeting, the Mt. Hope City Council reached an agreement with Greater Beckley Christian School to bring high school football back to the Mount Hope stadium for the first time since 2011.
The Crusaders are planning to kick off their fall season in the Mt. Hope Municipal Football Stadium early this September, on the weekend of the Mount Hope Jubilee.
They’re planning to have a split JV and high school schedule, with four Friday-night games and four Monday-night games.
Head coach Dr. Brian Hartman said that Greater Beckley would love to continue and build upon the legacy of the Mount Hope Mustangs as they bring Crusader football to the legendary stadium.
