SUMMERSVILLE, WV (WOAY) – For the first time in 15 years, Mountain Lake Campground is closed on Memorial Day.
After being closed for months, Mountain Lake Campground is set to reopen on June 1st. Owner Susan James says it’s emotional that they couldn’t open by Memorial Day, but is excited to offer a new restaurant called Campfire Grill to her loyal customers.
“Well, this is actually our 15th year, so we’re planning a big celebration, and we still are because there is a lot to celebrate. So just be watching for that on our social media and website to give way,” said James.
