Mt. Hope, WV (WOAY) – Firefighters battled a blaze in Mount Hope Saturday night.
The Mount Hope Firefighters responded to a house on fire along Montana street. They were told that there might have been someone in the house.
Firefighters rushed in and searched the house. They didn’t find any humans, but they did find a dog that wasn’t able to escape and passed away.
Oak Hill, Pax, and Bradley fire departments assisted. Jan-care, the West Virginia State Police, Mount Hope Police Department, and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department were also on the scene.
