WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Another day of sloppy weather is upon us thanks to a long-lasting front. This front is stalling its exit, which is mostly beneficial for us. However, we could see some gusty winds from storms later in the day and flood risks are still in play. Isolated downpours, especially in areas that have received multiple already, may cause some water issues across the region. Make sure to stay weather aware with our StormWatch App and have multiple ways to receive alerts as we go through the day. Storms will be lightening up as we reach the overnight hours. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Moving through the rest of the week, Friday will see morning and early afternoon storms before activity slowly fades going into the evening and overnight hours. Showers return Saturday thanks to low pressure moving up into the region from the south, lingering into Sunday and Monday as well. However, the main event will be in the Atlantic. Tropical Storm Humberto and Invest 94-L are poised to strengthen, making the situation unpredictable thanks to their closeness. It is worth keeping an eye on Invest 94-L, likely Imelda by the weekend, as it has a minimal chance to impact the Carolinas. We can’t rule anything out as of now, so we will keep an eye on these two through the weekend.

Moving into the next work week, lingering showers and from the low-pressure system in our region will continue on through Tuesday. The rain will finally leave Wednesday, giving us a break. We will still need more rainy days to help with the drought situation, but having a break in-between rainy stretches is never a bad thing. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
