It’s been an overall comfortable day across Southern West Virginia, but we’ve had nuisance rain across the area. We will start to become more dry as we head through the overnight hours and into the the day Tuesday. Although, during the afternoon heat we could have some showers and storms develop, but most people should remain dry.
As we look ahead to Wednesday, rain does look a little more likely than on Tuesday, but still it shouldn’t be a complete washout. The morning looks to be fairly dry, but cloud cover and rain/storms should start to increase in coverage during the afternoon hours. The chance for flooding is Marginal in our region but it is there due to the potential for some localized heavy rainfall. If you are out and about on Wednesday, watch the road conditions and make sure you don’t drive through flooded roadways.
 
Looking at the full 7 day forecast, a chance of showers and thunderstorms exist each day. Again, no true washout and not everyone will see widespread heavy rain, but the potential for pockets of heavy rain does exist. With the rain we recieved Sunday night, any type of rain won’t be too helpful to drain and dry things out. If you stumble across flooded roadways turn around, don’t drown. Temperatures remain fairly steady and won’t fluctuate much.
