A powerful storm will produce more flooding, thunderstorms and gusty winds later today into early Sunday.
Here is the push notification we just sent out through our StormWatch 4 Weather App: Flooding rain will expand across the region. A break in the rain expected early to mid-afternoon. Warm front will trigger robust downpours and thunderstorms with more flooding 7-10 p.m. Warmest part of the day will be Midnight to 1 a.m. Sunday when the temp hits 60 degrees. Cold front will initiate potential severe storms with downpours 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Flood emergencies possible. Between 1-6 a.m., gusts will hit 45 mph and temps will drop from 60 degrees to 32 degrees. Expect power outages then and flooding to continue. Expect a few flurries or sleet pellets Sunday until sun returns just before sunset.
The messaging in a Flood Emergency is much more urgent than a typical Flood Warning and implies a catastrophic event is about to or is unfolding.
