Looking at the latest drought monitor that came out today and the drought is officially OUT of Southern West Virginia, some areas remain abnormally dry, but that is not technically drought criteria. Most of the state is out of drought, the main exception being the Eastern Panhandle.
We do have more active weather in the forecast though, we are not completely done with the rain. The Weather Prediction Center has our area under a Slight Risk of Excessive Rainfall and the Storm Prediction Center has our area under a Marginal Risk of severe weather with winds up to 60 mph and heavy rainfall being the main threats. Most of the next 7 days appear to be fairly dry, with the European model hinting to MUCH less rainfall than the last week, parts of our area could still see over 2 inches in spots where the heaviest rain occurs and if storms continue to train since the atmospheric setup is similar to what we just experienced.
  
Here is a look at the full 7 day forecast, while some isolated showers and storms are possible on Sunday, the majority of the day should be dry region wide and Tuesday into Wednesday of next week feature mostly dry days with the rain potential increasing slightly as we head into Thursday. Friday and Monday appear to be the main rain days of the next 7.
