Monroe County Schools release reopening plans, offers virtual school option

Educators voicing concerns on reopening schools

MONROE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – THe Monroe County Board of Education approved the tentative school re-entry plan for 2020-2021.

Employees will begin on August 24, 2020, and students will begin on September 8, 2020.

Following the first week of phase-in scheduling, students will attend school four days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Wednesday will be a virtual learning day.  On Wednesday, the school will be deep cleaned.

Parents who are concerned with sending their students to school will have the option of virtual school.
