Monroe County, WV (WOAY) – The Monroe County Commission has awarded more than $62,00 to the Peterson Rescue Squad to combat the opioid crisis in rural areas.
The funds came from West Virginia’s settlement with the makers of opioids manufacturers.
The money will help buy medical equipment, including life-saving trauma gear and a CPR trainer.
