Alderson, WV (WOAY)- Monroe County 911 Center is preparing for the severe winter storm and has information on locations on standby, ready to open their doors to those in need of shelter.
Officials advise residents to check the Monroe County 911 Center’s Facebook page for updates or call (304) 772-3912 or 211 for access to emergency shelters.
Locations will not open until the need arises.
Planned warming centers and shelters include:
- Sweet Springs Community Center at 19766 Sweet Springs Valley Road Â
- Waiteville Community Center at 1735 Rays Siding RoadÂ
- Light House Fellowship Center at 96 Bud Ridge Road in UnionÂ
- Family Life Community Center at 9000 Seneca Trail South in LindsideÂ
- Peterstown Fire & Rescue at 318 Market StreetÂ
- Peterstown Christian Church at 129 Dunn StreetÂ
- Ballard VFD & Rescue at 19 Pinhook RoadÂ
