Lincoln County, WV (WOAY) – A missing girl has been found safe in Lincoln County after a man was charged with giving state police false information about her disappearance.
Holly Sanders went missing on July 27. Police were first told that she was staying with a friend in Milton.
The friend and her father, Carson Toppings, told officers that she got into a car with two males at the Huntington Mall on Wednesday. That information turned out to be wrong, and investigators learned she had been missing since Monday and was never at the mall.
Toppings was charged with providing false information and obstruction of an officer.
Sanders was found safe this afternoon. The state police say more information will be released as the investigation continues.
