Maher, WV (WOAY) The Mingo County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect accused of committing a disturbing act of animal cruelty.
Police report that a family in the Maher area returned home to discover their family pet dead and hanging from a tree.
Anyone with information about the incident or who may have witnessed suspicious activity is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 304-235-0300 or 304-235-8551
Callers may remain anonymous.
Authorities state that any information could help investigators identify the person responsible.
