Million-dollar Powerball ticket sold in Hurricane, WV

Charleston, WV (WOAY) – A Powerball ticket worth $ 1 million dollars was sold at a West Virginia store.

The million-dollar ticket was sold at Par Mar #17 on Main Street in Hurricane, WV. According to a press release from the West Virginia Lottery, the ticket matched all five numbers but not the Powerball, but the Power Play was not purchased. 

The person in possession of the ticket is asked to sign the back and call the West Virginia Lottery at 304-558-0500 for instructions on how to claim.

The numbers in Wednesday’s drawing were 11, 13, 28, 51, 58, and the Power Ball was 1. Lotery officials encourage players to check their tickets. There are nine prize tiers ranging from $2 to the jackpot.

Currently the Powerball jackpot sits at $378 million. Tickets can be purchased for $2 apiece, or $3 with the Power Play option, which increases non-jackpot prizes.

To participate in the next drawing your tickets must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. on Saturday.
