Mild Pattern Unfolding This Week in Southern West Virginia

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): A few more nights of frost followed by sunshine and warmer than average temperatures are ahead.

Chief Meteorologist Chad Merrill’s Latest Forecast:

TEMPERATURES: Each day will get progressively warmer as a Pacific air mass replaces the late weekend chill. A western storm will bring a cooler Friday and Saturday before a notable warmup resumes late this weekend.

RAIN: A warm front will trigger a few showers Thursday into early Friday while a cold front triggers a few showers late Saturday. Rain amounts this week will total about 0.50″.

FOG: A warm front will trigger fog above 3,000 feet on Thursday, best chance in the morning.
