MOUNT HOPE, WV (WOAY) – Amidst the chaos of recent months, one thing that will remain the same in Mt. Hope is the mayor. The Progressive Party’s Mike Kessinger was re-elected for the second consecutive time to retain office.
The party’s goals include improving quality of life, as well as property value. Even though he hasn’t begun his upcoming term, Kessinger has his sights set on maintaining the solid relationship between the city’s leadership branches.
“Obviously we’re glad for the Progressive Party to have gotten elected,” Kessinger said. “I’ve served with some great folks here in Mt. Hope. Our council, just good people who love Mt. Hope. They’re a pleasure to serve with and to work with.”
Kessinger will officially begin his new term on July 1.
