Seventh and eighth graders will get hands-on experience with regional manufacturers on October 5.
Kids from Bluefield, Glenwood, Montcalm, PikeView, and Princeton Middle School will participate in three thirty-minute labs to learn about the manufacturing process.
“Today’s middle school students will be tomorrow’s manufacturing workforce in West Virginia,” Executive Director Monica Cross said. “We are excited to again be working with Mercer County Schools and our manufacturing partners to host the Princeton Academy on National Manufacturing Day. The Explore team is looking forward to meeting the students and introducing them to employees from ConnWeld Industries, LLC and Custom Manufacturing Services, Inc.”
The experience is through the Explore the New Manufacturing program, which is part of the WVMA educational fund.
The two manufacturers participating are Conn-Weld Industries and Custom Manufacturing Services.
