Princeton,WV (WOAY)—The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a DUI checkpoint in Princeton this weekend.
Officers will be at Oakvale Road at 8:00 pm on Friday, May 23, and until 4:00 am on Saturday, May 24.
The purpose of the checkpoint is to deter impaired driving and educate the public about the dangers of operating a vehicle while under the influence.
Authorities urge the public to assist them in preventing drunk driving by reporting intoxicated and drug-impaired drivers to local authorities.
