Princeton,WV (WOAY) Mercer County Sheriffs are investigating a fatal hit and run involving a pedestrian and need the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect.
The incident occurred at 12:31 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, on Oakvale Road near United Rentals.
Based on investigation findings and surveillance footage provided below, authorities believe the suspected vehicle is a 2013-2018 dark-colored Ram Pickup truck with a damaged passenger side headlight assembly.
Police report that the vehicle was traveling toward the Athens Road intersection and potentially came from Sheetz.
Sheriffs expect to have further surveillance footage in the coming days.
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is also requesting the help of body shops, mechanics, vehicle repair businesses, and private individuals who perform body work to be on the lookout for vehicles that may fit the description.
