Mercer County Sheriff’s Department has full authority to disrupt crowds of more than 10

MERCER COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – The Mercer County Commission has given the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department full authority you disrupt crowds of over 10 people, to help fight coronavirus.

“To address the ongoing coronavirus pandemic locally, the Mercer County Commission met in an emergency meeting on Sunday evening, to give expanded authority to the Mercer County Sheriff‘s office that will allow for the disbursement of any crowd over 10 persons as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.

More information will be provided as the situation unfolds.
