Princeton, WV (WOAY) With a massive snowstorm in the forecast this weekend, Mercer County Schools urges families in need of help that they have support.
Families who require assistance with food, housing, clothing, utilities, or transportation can contact ICARE, which will refer them to the resources they need.
ICARE stands for Integrative & Collaborative: Assistance, Resources, and Education.
The program is Mercer County Schools’ approach to caring for students and their families who are facing challenges.
The referrals are confidential and sent directly to the student support staff at the child’s school to provide families with a faster response.
The ICARE team works with outside agencies to connect people with the resources they need.
