PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – Mercer County has finalized their ballots for this election season.
Now that the ballots have been finalized, they have gone to review. Absentee ballots are expected to begin being mailed out this upcoming Friday, September 18. And early voting begins next month on October 21, and lasts until October 31.
According to Mercer County Clerk Verlin Moye, absentee ballots will be safe and secure to use this election season.
“You can only vote once, I will say that. And we have a lot of checks and balances in place to make sure that everything done is secure,” Moye said.
It’s expected that Mercer County will see at least 5,000 absentee ballot requests, and voters have until October 28 to request one.
