Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – The Mercer County Animal Shelter is asking for immediate help from the public.
In a post on the organization’s Facebook page, the group says it’s at a “Code red” level and to maintain their no-kill status, they must get dogs adopted or fostered by March 21.
Officials with the shelter want to stress that this is not a threat but a reality. If they can’t get animals adopted or fostered, they will be forced to euthanize.
For more information on how to adopt, call the Mercer County Animal Shelter at (304) 425-2838.
