Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – Lottery players will have another chance tonight at the third-largest jackpot in U.S. history.
The estimated $1.55 billion prize has been growing for months thanks to 31 straight drawings without a winner.
The last time someone won the jackpot was April 18.
The $1.55 billion payout would go to a winner who opts for an annuity over 30 years.
However, people usually take the lump sum option, which would be an estimated $757.2 million.
All tickets must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. tonight.
To play Mega Millions, players select five numbers from 1 to 70 and one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. There are nine prize tiers, ranging from $2 to the jackpot.
