Law enforcement says scammers are targeting residents with threats about jury duty.
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office says callers are posing as deputies, claiming you’ve missed jury duty and demanding payment to avoid arrest.
Officials stress this is a scam.
Real deputies will never call and ask for money.
