Iaeger, WV (WOAY) Deputies with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after a man was found dead.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a welfare check around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, February 21, in the Trail Hollow area near Iaeger.
When they arrived, they located a deceased male.
The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time to allow family members to be notified.
Officials say a suspect is currently in custody on an unrelated charge.
The circumstances surrounding the death remain under active investigation.
No additional details have been released.
