MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – School officials confirm via Facebook that a person at Southside K-8 School tested positive for coronavirus.
The school says the case was confirmed on Friday. Students and staff exposed to the patient are quarantined. Meanwhile, the McDowell County Health Department will conduct further contact tracing.
The school has since deep cleaned and disinfected all affected areas.
