MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – McDowell County Health Department says the county now has its third confirmed case of COVID-19.
“At approximately 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, the McDowell County Health Department was notified of a third case of COVID-19. The third person under investigation is in close contact with a confirmed positive case.
We are working diligently to identify additional contacts who may have had contact with this individual. Â If you are identified as a contact, we will notify you.*We will continue to keep you updated on this fluid situation through Facebook as well as through local media partners.
Due to Federal HIPAA guidelines, no other information about this case will be given.”
