MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – The McDowell County Board of Education has released their back to school plans for the month of September.
The plan will start with a two week phase in model for grades 1-12. Starting on Tuesday, September 8th, students will attend campus based on the first letter of their last name. Students with the last names A-K will begin on campus, while students with the last names L-Z will begin online.
Then beginning on September 10, students with the last names A-K will be online, while students with the last names L-Z will be in campus. The virtual learning option will also begin on September 8th.
Children in Pre-K and Kindergarten will begin their phase in model on Monday, September 21st. Students with last names starting with A-K will start on campus, while students with the last name L-Z will begin online. Students will switch on September 23rd. Pre-K students will not have class on Fridays.
