Maynard defends seat in crowded Republican primary, advances to November general election

WAYNE, WV (WOAY) – Incumbent Mark Maynard is the winner of a crowded Republican primary for State Senate District 6.

According to the Associated Press, Maynard will move on to the fall general election and will face off against the winner of the Democratic primary.

Maynard defeated Republican challengers Jeff Disibbio, Eric Porterfield, and Edwin Vanover. He was endorsed by Governor Patrick Morrisey.
