Marshall-South Carolina Game Cancelled

WOAY – The Marshall-South Carolina game, originally scheduled for Saturday in Columbia, South Carolina, has been cancelled due to impending weather concerns from Hurricane Florence.

The schools’ athletic directors, Mike Hamrick and Ray Tanner, reportedly met several times this week discussing potential options for the game, but Hamrick said in part that cancelling the game was “the right thing to do.”

Nearly all college football games in the Carolinas and Virginia have either been cancelled or moved to different days, including West Virginia’s game at North Carolina State and Virginia Tech’s home meeting with East Carolina.

Marshall’s next game is September 22 in Huntington against NC State.
