On February 12th, 2024 at around 9:30 am, Pocahontas Police were alerted to a shooting at the Little General in Marlinton.
When police arrived, the suspect of the shooting, 23-year-old Mason Walker was nowhere to be found.
21-year-old Camie Rider was transported to the Pocahontas Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
After police arrested Mason Walker, they discovered that Walker was Rider’s boyfriend. This discovery led police to believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.
Currently, Walker is charged with murder.
