WOAY – The Raleigh County Board of Education approved this week the hiring of Mark Workman as the head football coach at Liberty High School.
Workman succeeds Jeff Alexander, who resigned earlier this summer after 14 seasons leading the Raiders.
Workman was an assistant coach under Alexander, and was also recently the head coach for Lady Raiders softball. He played at Clear Fork and Marsh Fork in the early 1990s.
Liberty opens the 2017 season August 25 at Westside, as they look to bounce back from a tough 2016 season, after making the playoffs in 2014 & 2015.
