Beckley, WV (WOAY) – Beckley police are investigating a shooting that left one man in critical condition Tuesday evening.
Officers responded to the 100 Block of Temple Street shortly after 6 p.m., according to the Beckley Police Department. Detectives found a male victim who had been shot multiple times.
The victim was initially transported to a local hospital, then flown by helicopter to another medical facility for further treatment. His condition remains critical.
Detectives are canvassing the area and interviewing witnesses. The victim’s identity is currently being withheld. Police say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
