Man facing fleeing with reckless indifference and suspended license charges following high speed motorcycle chase in Kanawha County

Sissonville, WV (WOAY) A Kanawha County man is facing charges after deputies say he led officers on a high-speed motorcycle chase.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, on July 8, Deputy Hurd was traveling on Derricks Creek Road in Sissonville when he spotted a motorcycle in his lane heading towards him, nearly striking his patrol cruiser.

Hurd pursued the motorcyclist and attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect fled, leading them on a high-speed pursuit.

Investigators say the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Hunter Reveal, reached speeds over 80 miles per hour, ignored stop signs, and drove into oncoming traffic before crashing in the parking lot of a Sissonville Piggly Wiggly.

Deputies say Reveal was driving on a suspended license and is charged with fleeing with reckless indifference.

He was arraigned before a Kanawha County Magistrate, who set bond at $5,000 cash, and awaits further court proceedings at the South Central Regional Jail.
