Man faces sexual assault charges in Raleigh County

Soak Creek, WV (WOAY) A man is facing sexual assault charges in Raleigh County.
According to authorities, on Monday, July 27, Raleigh County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a sexual assault in the Soak Creek area of Raleigh County.
The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau was assigned to the case to assist.
Throughout the investigation, detectives gathered evidence that led to the arrest of a suspect, 41-year-old Harold Johanna Dietrick Heyen.
Authorities charged Heyen with 5 counts of second-degree sexual assault and transported him to Southern Regional Jail, where he awaits further court proceedings.
Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton applauded the deputies and detectives involved for their professionalism, dedication, and thorough investigation, which led to the arrest of the suspect.
