Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) This Friday night, a man was arrested at a Woodrow Wilson High School football game.
According to a statement from Morgan G. Bragg, Beckley’s deputy chief of police, officers were alerted shortly before 9 pm on Friday that an adult attendee was in possession of a firearm on school property.
When confronted, the male became combative and resisted officers. After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a handgun.
The suspect was charged with possession of a firearm on school property, violation of a domestic violence petition, and obstructing an officer.
The statement says that further information will be released as it becomes available.
