Magistrate candidate, wife make masks for community

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – A man running for magistrate and his wife have sent out over 2,500 masks to help others during the pandemic.

John Brent Cashion says it’s mostly his wife doing the work, but together they spend most of the day every day sewing and sending out cloth masks across the country. They’ve sent masks to people as far as California, but they mostly send their masks to local residents.

“It’s a good community,” said Cashion. “They take care of us.We always like to contribute anyway we can. Sitting at home and not doing anything isn’t contributing, so we wanted to do our part.”
