COAL CITY, WV (WOAY) – During this time of uncertainty, many community members are helping stop the spread of coronavirus by sewing handmade masks.
Dyane Corcoran, a Coal City local and part-time quilter is helping solve the shortage of N-95 type masks by making handmade masks. She has made and donated more than 200 masks and plans on making more.
“The important thing is people are very upset right now and they’re worried. Having a mask gives them peace of mind, a lot of time peace of mind is the best thing you can ask for in a time like this,” said Dyane Corcoran.
If you would like to pick up a mask or donate materials contact Dyane Corcoran’s Facebook page: Sew Obnoxious.
