Local Transportation offering free rides amid Government shutdown

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – The Mountain Transit Authority is offering free rides amid the government shutdown.

The authority operates in Nicholas, Webster, Fayette, Clay, Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas counties.

Rides will take people to food banks, grocery stores, and other resource programs.

The MTA says it is committed to helping the community through the shutdown.
