Local theater offers shows on Zoom

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – The Historic Fayette Theater is going to begin virtual theater performances.

Starting in July, the theater will offer shows on the video calling app Zoom. Each show will be an hour-long and will feature local performers. The first play on Zoom will be presented and directed by Veteran Gene Worthington.

“A virtual theater you can do from any computer. The cast that’s in the show that we’re doing in July there are 15 performers, so they’ll be in 15 different areas. It’s just a neat way to do theater and to keep the theater in people’s minds,” said Worthington.

Tickets are being sold on Brown Paper Tickets for $5.
