Hinton, WV (WOAY) A Summers County law enforcement family is asking for the community’s support after a devastating house fire.
While Deputy Withrow was serving and protecting the citizens of Summers County, his family’s home was destroyed by fire.
Now, local supporters are organizing a fundraiser to help the Withrow family recover and rebuild after the tragic loss.
The city of Hinton will host a night swim on July 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The fee for adults is $8 and $5 for swimmers 18 and under, with all proceeds going to Deputy Withrow and his family.
The family is also creating a GoFundMe page, which will be shared once it’s available.
Anyone who is able to help is encouraged to support the fundraiser as the Withrow family begins the long road to recovery.
