Local Oak Hill church to hold benefit dinner for cancer patient

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – First Brethren Church Fellowship Hall in Oak Hill will be hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Mike Self.

Mike Self was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. The benefit dinner will help his family with medical bills during this time. Each dinner will cost $6 and include spaghetti, butter garlic, bread, and dessert. The fundraiser will be held on Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm.

“We have not had to purchase a single thing for this dinner. Everything is because of the community,” said Mike Self’s daughter Amanda Hypes. “I would like to say that this has been very humbling, everyone coming together as a community has shown me so much more that I want to give more,” said Mike Self’s other daughter, Brittany Pennington.

The fundraiser is a curbside service, your order will be taken, and your dinner will be delivered to your vehicle.
