Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – One local journalist is being honored for his artwork.
Tom Bone, long-time writer for the Princeton Times and Bluefield Daily Telegraph, is being honored at the Bluefield Arts Center Gallery for his artwork of editorial cartoons.
Forty-eight pieces of art were selected to be in the display out of over fifteen hundred cartoons.
The works of art cover everything from politics, from national, state, and local levels, to topics about the weather and things that go on in our everyday lives.
The display will be at the Bluefield Arts Center until August 28.
Mr. Bone tells Newswatch that picking the forty-eight cartoons from a wide selection wasn’t an easy task.
