Local farmer wins the West Virginia Women in Agriculture award

Greenbrier County, WV (WOAY) – A local farmer will take home the West Virginia Women in Agriculture award this fair.

Jill Hauser, a Greenbrier County farmer, is one of five women to receive the award, which honors women who have made significant contributions to agriculture.

Hauser is an active member of 4H, FFA, and operates a successful dairy farm with her husband, Terry.

Hauser holds a degree in animal science from WVU and Potomac State.

She was the first female broiler technician in the Potomac Valley. Today, she is a Nutrient Management Planner for the Department of Agriculture.

Her farm has won several awards from Dairy Farmers of America.
