PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – Sister’s Coffee House is a small, locally owned coffee shop that has been operating for 23 years. They’ve recently had to shut their doors because of the Governor’s order to close all sit-down restaurants.
Gwendalyn Ramey, owner of Sister’s Coffee House, is hopeful that things will blow over soon so she can get back to running her business.
“It’s hard really for small business anyway. You know on a regular basis it’s difficult to continue on. We’ve been very blessed to manage for so long. But you know you wonder, because a small business in particular can’t stand the hard knocks of that. It’s gonna be tough,” Ramey said.Â
The coffee shop is just one of many businesses around the state to be negatively impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
