RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Tuesday night Live United kicked off it’s 2020-2021 campaign season at Weathered Ground Brewery.
The event on Tuesday was to thank the donors and encourage advocates within the community to help United Way of Southern West Virginia. The campaign plans to reach their goal within six months in order to know what they can give to their partner agencies.
“We try to hit our goal in about six months so that we are able to know what we are going to be able to assist our partner agencies with moving into 2021,” said Executive Director Megan Legursky. “We want to encourage any type of pledges and donations to our campaign so that we can execute in the best way possible to help our Southern West Virginia community as much as we can.”
Live United encourages everyone to get involved and donate whenever possible.
“You’ve got to show up contact the United Way and see what volunteer opportunities exist and donate as much as you can because all those all those things we traditionally do to raise money we just can’t do during Covid,” said Beckley Ward Three City Councilman Robert Dunlap.
The next event is a Safe and Swing-In Golf Social on Friday September 25th at Woodhaven Golf Course in Glade Springs. You can sign up for the event on the Live United Facebook page or on their website.
