Lewisburg, WV (WOAY) If you’re interested in a career in law enforcement, the Lewisburg Police Department may have a position for you.
The department is accepting applications for officers now through Friday, February 27.
Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
Those interested must also be able to pass a physical fitness test, drug screening, psychological exam, polygraph, extensive background check, and complete a 12-month probationary period.
Officers will earn a starting salary of $48,736 with a $1,200 increase upon completing the probationary period.
Non-certified applicants who are hired will start at $47,536 upon completing the police academy and will receive a $1,200 increase after the one-year probationary period.
