Lewisburg, WV (WOAY) The holiday season could be a little more festive in Lewisburg this year.
The “Coolest Small Town” has been selected as a contender in Hallmark Channel’s search for the merriest Christmas town.
Residents, visitors, and fans of Lewisburg can vote once a day through September fourth to help the city advance to the next round.
Lewisburg is known for its small-town charm, locally owned shops, and holiday traditions, including the magic of Christmas.
The season-long event features carriage rides, a tree lighting, a parade, and Santa’s mailbox.
Mayor Beverly White has even written more than 1,000 letters to children who mail Santa a letter with a return address since the program began in 2020.
A win would put Lewisburg and the Greenbrier Valley in the national spotlight while highlighting the community’s businesses, residents and Christmas traditions.
Supporters can vote daily through September 4 on the Hallmark Channel’s Merriest Christmas Towns contest website.
