LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY) – The Lewisburg Chocolate Festival has been canceled and will be rescheduled due to the Coronavirus.
“After thoughtful consideration, remarks from West Virginia Governor Jim Justice, and direction from state and local health departments, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 14th Annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival. Save the date for Saturday, June 6, 2020. As you mark your calendars, please keep in mind that this, too, may change, but we didn’t want to keep the chocolate from you for much longer!
Ticket holders:
If you purchased tasting tickets online in advance, your purchase is valid on Saturday, June 6, 2020.
In the event you are unable to attend on June 6 and would like a refund, we will gladly issue a refund; however, we invite you to consider another option as the Lewisburg Chocolate Festival is a fundraiser for the United Way of the Greenbrier Valley. As the United Way devises a plan to respond to the needs of the communities it serves, a Coronavirus Emergency Assistance Fund is being set up to aid in the recovery process from this disease and its toll on local communities. United Way will gratefully convert ticket purchases into a donation made to the Coronavirus Emergency Assistance Fund.
If you purchased your tickets in person at the visitors center in Lewisburg, a cash refund will be made upon return of your tickets to the visitors center. No phone calls, please. This transaction must take place in person.
You can also convert your in-person ticket purchase to a donation to United Way’s Coronavirus Emergency Assistance Fund.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor the situation and make decisions in the interest of public safety. For questions, refund requests, and donation conversions, please email lewisburgchocolate@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as possible. Be well and we’ll see you in June!
